FAQ.
Short answers, in plain words. A person is behind all of it.
Why didn't my PDF read?
Usually one of three things: the file is password-locked, it isn't a PDF or photos, or it's over 50 MB. The fix that works best: download a fresh copy of your policy's summary pages (called "declarations") from your insurer's website and upload that. If it still won't read, that's on us, not you. A person will look at it.
Where's my sign-in code?
No code after a minute? Check spam, or resend code from the sign-in screen. Codes expire in 10 minutes. Still nothing? Write to us at hello@claimcommons.org. A person answers, usually within a day.
What does MATCHED EXACTLY mean?
The value appears on the cited page, letter for letter. No judgment involved. Every fact shows the exact words and page it came from. No source, no fact. Wrong? Flag it and a person re-reads it.
Something in my record is wrong. Can I edit it?
Values can't be edited. That's what keeps this record trustworthy. Spot something wrong? Flag it and a person re-reads your document, usually within a day.
How do I leave the data pool?
Open Permissions from your dashboard and choose Revoke. Revoking removes your rows from all future group stats within 24 hours. Your record is unaffected. Rejoin anytime.
How do I delete everything?
Open Permissions from your dashboard and choose Delete everything. It deletes your record, your PDF, and anything derived from them.
Is my policy sold, or used to train AI?
Neither. We never sell your data. And AI does not train on it by default: the AI reads your PDF to draft your record, the way a person would read it to fill out a form. Reading is not training. Your document is never used to teach the model unless you turn that on yourself.
My neighborhood isn't unlocked. What can I do?
Stats unlock at 10 households. Below 10, a range can point at a single home, so we wait. Your ZIP's page has a notify option: one email at unlock, nothing else, ever. And adding your policy helps. Yours counts toward the 10. Know neighbors here? Send an invite.
